Party Theme
Glow Party
Black lights, neon, no overheads.
A glow party is one of the easiest themes to throw and one of the easiest to do badly. The whole effect depends on black lights and total darkness — leave one overhead on and the magic disappears.
The payoff is huge when done right: white t-shirts glow, neon paint pops, and the whole house feels different. Best as an indoor-only theme.
Throwing a glow party
Kill every overhead. Tape over the wall switches if people keep flipping them.
UV black-light bulbs in every fixture you can reach. Aim for 8–10 across the main rooms.
Provide white t-shirts and UV paint at the door. Have buckets of glow sticks too.
Tape neon poster board on walls in shapes/letters for the camera.
Photo zone: a black-light setup against a black backdrop. Every photo people post does free marketing.
